This is my 2003 debut solo album. In this period in my life I was trying to make sense of what it meant to be an American in the post-9/11 era as my country entered the Iraq war. We were so very united, then we were so very divided, polarized by cable news and reality TV. Yet individually, I knew many who worked for a sense of shared community.
