Amy and I have long had this inside joke that there are too many abbreviations in our modern vocabulary. Whenever we hear another abbreviation we say this is a job for People Against the Abuse of Acronyms, or PAAA for short! 

It took us over 10 years of having this joke to realize it could be a great song lyric. Then we were in the car and I said I needed an ETA from my GPS. That started us brainstorming on the song.
